Prof. Amiya Bhaumik is the visionary leader and President of Lincoln University College Malaysia. A staunch believer in education as a tool for societal transformation, he has worked with several international organisations, including as the Director of International for Ottawa University (USA).

 

Currently, he also serves as the Mayor of Akko in Gombe, Africa (since 2022). In recognition of his contributions, he was awarded the Bintang Cemerlang Melaka (B.C.M.) by the Government of Melaka in 2020. With professional travel spanning over 120 countries and extensive editorial and policy work in global education, Prof. Bhaumik’s leadership philosophy is grounded in the ideals of Abraham Lincoln. He believes education should help every individual manifest their inherent wisdom, power, and divinity—a belief he sums up in the phrase "Work is Worship."
